God is on the Throne by Planetshakers
You’re able to do it
I know You can
‘Cause God You are faithful
To move again
This mountain it seems big
But I know You’re with me
So Jesus I’m grateful
Until the very end
I can hear Your voice
Singing over me
I’m free indeed
I can feel Your power
Washing over me
And I’m free indeed
You are my Saviour
So I won’t fear
‘Cause I know You got this
Your power’s here
You are my breakthrough
You’re making all things new
So I praise You forever
To You I sing
I can hear Your voice
Singing over me
And I’m free indeed (Yeah)
I can feel Your power
Washing over me
And I’m free indeed
For God is on the throne
He is in control
Reigning over all
He is powerful, so powerful
I lift His name
And I give Him praise
So He’ll make a way
He is powerful, so powerful
I can hear Your voice
Singing over me
And I’m free indeed
I can feel Your power
Washing over me
And I’m free indeed
And I’m free indeed
I’m free indeed
John 14:1-6
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Zephaniah 3:14-17
Sing, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O Israel!
Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,
O daughter of Jerusalem!
The Lord has taken away your judgments,
He has cast out your enemy.
The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst;
You shall see disaster no more.
In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
“Do not fear;
Zion, let not your hands be weak.
The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
In the past few months I’ve been reminded time after time that when I don’t know the way, Jesus does. When I can’t find the answers, Jesus has them. When I feel burdened and heavy, Jesus is there to renew my spirit and guide me. Being someone who generally likes to have control over the situations I’m in, I was shocked at the peace that came when I was finally able to very genuinely submit to God and trust His way was best for me. Knowing that my world was not resting on my own shoulders pushed me to a level of authenticity that I felt was unachievable for me for a long time.
More recently, I’ve also been reminded over and over of the love God has for His children. How He delights in us, sings over us, rejoices over us with gladness. When I think of all He gave for us, how little we can return, and how much He still adores each of us, I can’t help but be in awe of Him. I want to love like that! Unconditional and complete. I am so far from it, but I know He is transforming me more and more into an image that reflects Him (2 Cor. 3:18). Thank you for reading. Submit to Him. Give Him praise today. I love you but more than that, Christ loves you.
